HiSET & GED

Trinity County Office of Education is thrilled to offer adult testing services in order to receive your high school diploma equivalency.

Age Requirement and Options: 
If you are 18 years old or older, there are two different testing options available to you, the HiSET and GED.  These options are detailed below. 

Study Materials:
TCOE does not offer study materials, but will provide an in person proctored exam to help you meet your goal.

HiSET

Paper Based

$17 per subtest + $20 state fee

3 attempts per year to pass

Results come by mail (can take up to 2 weeks)

5 - Subtests

  • Reading (65 min)
  • Writing (120 min)
  • Math (90 min)
  • Science (80 min)
  • Social Studies (70 min)

Unlimited attempts (60 day waiting period after first 2 attempts)
