Randy Spencer
(Area I -  Trinity Center, Coffee Creek, and Lewiston) has been a general building contractor for over 30 years. He and his wife own a small internet business where they manufacture and sell small hand weaving looms all over the world.

Although not born in Trinity County, Randy grew up in Coffee Creek and graduated from Trinity High. Randy attended Chico state for a year before joining the US Air Force. After four years of service, he returned to Chico State, getting a BA in History and Anthropology. He is a founding member of the Coffee Creek Volunteer Fire Co. and the Trinity County Fire Chiefs Association. Randy is an active volunteer with TCSO search and rescue, and The Lions Club. MMyers

Michelle Myers (Area II - Trinity Alps Unified School District: Weaverville and Douglas City) has been a full-time resident of Trinity County since 2014. While attending college in So. California, she began her career in special education having been employed as a paraeducator for about two years with Exceptional Children's Foundation in Lomita, CA and worked with clients with special needs ages 0-3. She then began working with Torrance Unified School District in the same field having been employed at Launch Preschool for over 13 years and becoming Lead Classroom Paraeducator, serving those clients and their families with children ages 3-5. She became proficient in many facets of learning and education while in this position. Michelle later was asked to assist in teaching the staff during Professional Development functions and also assisted future teachers who were enrolled in the teaching program at Cal State Dominguez Hills, who would intern at the school site.

From these experiences, Michelle later joined a team of professionals from Launch Preschool who represented that region and assisted in the development of the National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorder (NPDC) framework which worked to develop free professional resources for teachers, therapists, and technical assistance providers who assist individuals with ASD.

Prior to that, Michelle was co-owner/operator of her family's then 3rd, now 4th generation Family-Owned and operated Real Estate Management Company, R.E.M.S. She became highly proficient in all facets of the organization. Since moving to Trinity County she has served on the Trinity County Board of Education since August 2017. She lives in Weaverville with her husband Tom.   Term 2024

SAldinger

Sally Aldinger, President 
(Area III - Hayfork and Hyampom) grew up in Sacramento and attended Humboldt State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences in 1970. She continued her education, completing an Elementary Teacher credential program with an emphasis in Early Childhood. Sally taught at Round Valley Elementary School in Covelo, Mendocino County, prior to moving to Hayfork in 1977. At home in Hayfork, she raised a daughter, while also starting the Gold Country Store, and becoming active in the community through the school unification process. Sally served on the first board of the newly-unified Mountain Valley USD, then went on to CSU, Chico, to earn a Clear Administrative Credential. She rounded out her career in education at, and retired from, the Trinity County Office of Education. Sally stays actively involved in her community by volunteering time with the Mountain Valley Youth Fund, Friends of the Library, Hayfork Scholarship Foundation and Friends of the Hayfork Park. Term 2024



Arina Erwin

Arina Erwin
(Area IV Burnt Ranch, Big Bar, Junction City)  is our local Public Health Program Manager by day. Besides our board, she sits on various boards and coalitions and serves as the current California WIC Assoc. Board President and is the Western state representative for the National WIC Assoc. Working with programs that directly relate to health and well-being is her passion. Mrs. Erwin has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of families within our county and has seen firsthand the importance our small schools can make in their lives.

Steve Canale,  
(Area V - Southern Trinity Joint Unified School District) was raised in Newark, California and attended San Diego State University, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Social Science in 1975. In 1976, Mr. Canale moved to the Zenia area and began work with the United States Forest Service. He relocated to the Ruth area in 1980, where he has resided ever since. Mr. Canale has been active in the local school system for many years as a basketball coach and working as the district's high school Librarian and Technology Coordinator.  Term 2026
