This Early Education coordinator supports the programs, people, and policies that impact families and children aged 0-8. This includes the planning for Universal Prekindergarten (UPK), coaching of early childcare providers and teachers on quality improvements, conducting community surveys and generating recommendations for decision makers, facilitating Trinity County's Local Child Care Planning Council (LPC), and collaborating with school districts, parents, and community organizations to improve and stabilize early learning care systems. Additionally, this coordinator leads the American Indian Early Education Grant for grades TK-4th at three school sites.
