OCTOBER CAMP-OUT

Junction City Campground TCARC Packet Workshop 10-13-01

Packet Workshop at Junction City Campground 10/13/01

Since the last meeting there has been a change in the site of the October camp-out. The camp-out will be held at the Junction City Campground, (not to be confused with the Junction City Park!). This campground is approximately three miles west of the Junction City Store. The date: still October 12, 13, and 14th.

No reservations are necessary, it will be on a first- come, first served basis, and will cost $8.00 per night.

Saturday, the 13th, at 1:00 p.m., there will be a packet-radio practice. Please be there if you can for this, club members need to get geared up for emergency-type work, and with the recent attack on the U.S., who knows when this will be.

There will be a club meeting that same day, so do not go to the TCOE conference room for a meeting, it is not going to be held there!

The usual potluck-barbecue will be held on Sat. at approximately 4:30 p.m. Be sure to bring your chairs, something for the barbecue if you desire, and a dish to share. And don't forget your jacket!

There will be packet set-ups for our use there, thanks to some of the club members who volunteered to do this. In the event that it should rain, don't panic and stay home. We will move to the hangar of WA6BXN Johnny Weil. It should be a good time, so we will look forward to seeing you there.

Further, the CDF VIP coordinator, Robin Sykes, has promised to be there. We will look forward to meeting her.

NET NIGHT

It was a pleasure to hear KC6EJH Horacio back on the air last week! Sure hope you can join us at the camp-out. And, KF6OAH Vicky sounds so good on the air now, what with a better set-up and tweaking done at Hayfork Bally Repeater site, and also Bully Choop, thanks to the persistence of W6HOR Bob Buckley.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

To KI6GR John Budman, WB6JZN Ed Carpenter, KB6YTD Robert Jackson, KD6GDR Dave Lister, and WU6R Bob Smith! And have many more!

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Hope you enjoy the attached minutes from the previous meeting - take time to read them so you will know what is going on, if you were not there.

Bye for now, see you soon- . N6TKX EVELYN, Newsletter Editor
