As directed by the motion passed at the last meeting, the TCARC directors met on February 19 to consider funding means for the ARRL liabilty insurance. Several options were considered. The objective is to provide for ongoing support of the club and it's expenses both normal and unexpected, ongoing support of the repeater association, providing for a reasonable reserve, and ability to pay for the insurance.
The group proposes that yearly dues be increased to $ 20; an increase of $ 8. This will leave a small shortfall yearly which we anticipate being able to offset by other means, perhaps. The increase would become effective for renewals on or after 1 July 2002. Both the insurance and the raise in dues will be voted on at the March 13th meeting.
