Effective immediately we will return to pre-planned TACTICAL RESPONSE to the hospital. It is hoped that a coordinated test of VHF,UHF, HF RF environment can be tested in cooperation with hospital to see if there are any RFI problems ahead of time. Also RF frequency inventory needs completion on site to avoid desense, etc during actual emergency.
UPDATE: 2/2006- NEW HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR- JIM SATO has approved my request related to coaxial cables!.
Consideration is being given to asking permission to mount a weather resistant box on external back side of administration building to place coaxial junction so dualband VHF/UHF antenna can be used by external station (vehicle, van, etc.) Same for HF Antenna located on another building.
Meeting with Trintiy Hospital Liason has been requested to review plans (still under consideration, they are just too busy aparently now)
It is still hoped that a coordinated drill can be planned for October, either in relation to SET, CA EMS, or a simple TCARES portable set up in vehicle on VHF voice and packet (perhaps message post to wb6fzh-1 on 146.050 and voice simplex and repeat contact with TCARES members availiable at time of test) CA EMS test was cancelled because of the S.CA fire emergency.
More Information to be posted as soon as availiable.
A report will appear here on status of total communications (telephone) failure planning as well as radio (medcom) failure considerations.(In addition to any existing plan with County Communications).
