The Southern Trinity Joint Unified School District is located in a
rural mountainous area encompassing the southern portion of Trinity
County. The district is approximately 1000 square miles in area.
Most
of the land is owned by the U.S. Forest Service. (Six Rivers National
Forest)
Four schools are located in the district. Southern Trinity High School,
Mt. Lassic Continuation School, Van Duzen Elementary School, and
Hoaglin-Zenia Elementary School. The average enrollment is 150 students.
