About the Cash register
By Logan

This cash register was used it in Ladds store
in Denny, California back in the 1800's, mostly for related gold
mining sales. It is made of wood and had some metal. It has a
drawer on the bottom front used to hold money. There are buttons
and one switch for adding the prices. It is brown and really heavy.
Cash registers were also used for counting money from the of people
who bought food, toys, and miscellanous things at other businesses.
The customer knew how much they had to spend and the store keepers
used the register for checking the prices on things they bought.
They also kept money organized. In the drawer at the bottom, they
kept the dollars in one spot and the dimes, pennies, nickels,
and quarters in a different spot.
