PURPOSE: To provide meaningful scholarships for worthy Trinity High School District students to attend accredited institutions of higher learning or vocational schools.
OBJECTIVE: To develop a meaningful scholarship program/fund in order to extend financial aid to all worthy District high school students.
MEMBERSHIP: Three Member Classes
SPECIAL: Contributions of ten dollars or more
SPONSOR: Contributions of fifty dollars or more
LIFE: Individuals, husband/wife, club, business contributing one thousand dollars (over a ten year period or less.)
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS: Fourteen local social, fraternal, and service clubs who award scholarships through TSF.
DIRECTORS: Fifteen in number. Eleven elected, four appointed. Three certificated high school staff and one community member. No employees, no compensation to Officers or Directors. The Directors donate approximately seven hundred fifty volunteer hours each year.
THIRTY-THREE YEAR RECORD: $624,050 awarded to nine hundred eleven deserving Trinity County young people.
2004 PROGRAM: $35,500 to forty-eight recipients (an additional $2,000 was given by a very supportive benefactor to two recipients).
ENDOWMENT: Perpetual Endowment Account uses only the interest/dividends to fund scholarships.
